At age 58, he dἰed on Sunday (21 May). His performances in well-liked TV shows like Rome, Vikings, and Dexter made him well-known. His roles in the Divergent trilogy, the Thor film series, and several UK television show like Band of Gold, Peak Practice, and Murphy’s Law made him well-known.
Although the cause of deἀth is uncertain, he was reportedly hospitalized while filming on the Italian island of Ischia. He pἀssed unexpectedly while working on the action movie Cassino in Ischia. His demἰse was announced four days before his 59th birthday.

Ray Stevenson Obituary
Stevenson played characters in the “Star Waɼs,” “Star Trek,” “Divergent,” and “G.I. Joe” series, as well as the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, one of his most well-known personas was seen on television rather than in a movie: Titus Pullo, a Roman soldier, was a character played by Stevenson from 2005 to 2007 on the HBO series “Rome.”
After success in the historical drama, Stevenson took on his first of two Marvel roles, playing Frank Castle/Punisher in “Punisher: Waɼ Zone.” In “Thor,” he played Volstagg, one of Thor’s Warriors Three, in his subsequent Marvel role. Joe: Retaliation” as the mercenary Firefly; the following year, he made his debut as faction commander Marcus Eaton in the first of three “Divergent” movies. Three movies from 2022 featuring him were “RRR,” “Memory,” and “Accἰdent Man: Hitman’s Holiday.” Other films by Stevenson include “King Arthur,” “Kἰll the Irishman,” and “The Three Musketeers.”

After achieving early fame on television with “Rome,” Stevenson appeared frequently on television. He portrayed Isaak Sirko, a Koshka Brotherhood member, in season seven of “Dexter.” He played Blackbeard in the film “Black Sails” and Ohthere of Hlogaland in the television series “Vikings.”
Stevenson played Gar Saxon in two episodes of “Star Waɼs Rebels” and two more episodes of “Star Waɼs: The Clone Wars” before returning to the “Star Waɼs” universe to play Baylan Skoll in the upcoming “Ahsoka.” Additionally, Stevenson had guest appearances in several British TV programs, including “Band of Gold,” “City Central,” and “At Home with the Brathwaites.”
