Teller County Coroner Confirms Four Fἀtalities in Plane Crἀsh

Following a small plane dsaster that occurred close to Phantom Canyon Road, the Teller County Coroner has revealed that four people lost their lives. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, there were four persons aboard the single-engine Cessna T-41B that was involved in the accdent.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) believes the accdent took place early on Saturday morning (6 May 2023), but the wreckage wasn’t located until a little less than 24 hours later, on Sunday morning.

Commander Lad Sullivan of the Teller County Sheriff’s Office said that after the crsh, a small fire broke out. Sullivan said that the crsh site was “pretty bad,” and workers had not found any survivors right away.

Sullivan told KRDO the National Transportation Safety Board requested the sheriff’s office call in the county coroner. Earlier, rescue workers from Teller County hiked about two and a half miles from Phantom Canyon Road through rocky terrain to the crsh scene.
