The Convicted Murd*rer of Nipsey Hussle Was Given a Prison Term of 60 Years to Life

Rapper Nipsey Hussle’s alleged k!ller was charged with murder on Thursday and entered a not-guilty plea, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Eric Ronald Holder, 29, of Los Angeles, was charged with one crime of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

According to the district attorney’s office, the criminal complaint also contains charges that he directly used a firearm and caused grievous bodily injury and death. The holder is being defended by Christopher Darden, a veteran prosecutor on the 1992 O.J. Simpson murder trial, as confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.

Darden was at this moment without any comments. Holder was arrested Tuesday following a massive manhunt after allegedly shooting and k!lling Hussle (real name Ermias Joseph Asghedom) on Sunday afternoon on Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard.

Holder, a 33-year-old rapper and community activist sh0t multiple times outside his clothes store over what authorities described as a “personal argument,” was apprehended without incident by officers from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in Bellflower, southeast of Los Angeles.

Two additional guys were also sh0t, allegedly by Holder, at the time of Hussle’s de@th. They survived and are recovering.

According to jail records, the holder is being held on $5 million bail. If convicted as charged, he faces a possible maximum life sentence in state prison. On May 10, Holder is expected back in court.

Hours before Holder was apprehended, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and LAPD Chief Michel Moore addressed the media and pleaded with Holder to submit peacefully. The two discussed the recent spike in violent violence in South Los Angeles along with other neighborhood leaders.

According to plans made public on Sunday by LAPD Commissioner Steve Soboroff, the rapper, and certain crew members will meet with law enforcement officials to discuss how they might cooperate to stop gang violence. In memory of the late rapper, that encounter will still happen soon.

Hours after the shooting, hundreds gathered at the crime scene to mourn the artist. On Monday night, numerous people (including some police officers) at the vigil were injured when trampled after panic broke out over a gun being flashed, police said. Moore claimed there were no reports of sh0ts being fired into the crowd.
