Sparkle Stanwood Dickerson, a resident of Gretna, Louisiana, who was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, pἀssed away on May 15, 2023, at the age of 42. We are deeply saddened to share this news with you. She was preceded in deἀth by her grandfather Alex Stanwood, her great-grandmother Emma Hebert Dennis, her great-great-grandfather Edward Johnson, Sr., her father Rickey Johnson, her brother Keith Stanwood, and her in-laws Nolan, Jr. and Ruth Dickerson. Her father Rickey Johnson was also among those who had pἀssed away before her.
Her husband, Delvin C. Dickerson; her children, Sage Robertson, DelMyron Dickerson, and Skylar Dickerson; her step-children, Delkota Dickerson, Delmitri Dickerson, and Ta’My Young; her mother, Tracy Badon; her siblings, Keisha Stanwood Adams and Louis Stanwood; and her siblings-in-law, Daryl Adams, Marlon Phoenix, Dwanna Dickerson Phoenix, and Raesheen Smith; all survive her.

In addition, she is survived by her godchildren, many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. The Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, located at 2515 Franklin Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70117, will be the location of visitation on the morning of Friday, June 2nd, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
