Despite Amanda Bynes’s most recent mental episode, her parents are not seeking another conservatorship for their daughter.
Despite the mental breakdown, a source close to the family told TMZ that Lynn Bynes and Rick Bynes took comfort in that the “Easy A” actress called the police on herself. The insider thinks that since Bynes, 36, had been attending her cosmetology classes and lived alone, Sunday’s occurrence was an “anomaly.”
A request for comment from Page Six was not immediately responded to by Bynes’ attorney. The “All That” alum spent Sunday night wandering the streets naked before being put on a 5150 mental hold.
But Paul Michael, the “All That” star’s ex-fiance, told Page Six in an exclusive interview that Bynes had been “off her meds” in the weeks before this weekend’s crisis. He alleged (as reported by Bol News)

Bynes was put on a psychiatric hold early Sunday after wandering the streets of Los Angeles naked, Page Six said on Monday. The former “Amanda Show” star, who has bipolar disorder, reportedly waved down a car without wearing any clothes and informed the driver that she was recovering from a psychotic episode, according to an eyewitness who spoke to TMZ.
When the child celebrity arrived at the police station, a mental health professional decided she needed to be placed on a 5150 hold, which is generally placed for 72 hours. The child star then dialed 911 on herself.
