COOK COUNTY, Ill. — According to the Illinois State Police, one individual was killed when a vehicle crashed while going in the opposite direction on Interstate 94 in Cook County on Tuesday.
According to reports, ISP said officers were dispatched to the ramp connecting I-94 southbound to I-80 eastbound in Cook County at 6 p.m. due to a fatal incident involving three vehicles.
When the troopers arrived, it was established that the passenger vehicle driver had been traveling in the wrong direction when they collided head-on with a truck tractor and then crashed into another vehicle. The reasons for this are unknown.

The driver of the vehicle that was traveling in the wrong direction was reportedly verified deceased at the spot by the police, while there were no other injuries reported.
