Elvis Presley’s ex-wife Priscilla Presley has launched a lawsuit to contest the legality of their late daughter’s will. The sole child of the pair, Lisa Marie Presley, passed away on January 12 at 54 following a cardiac arrest.
A 2016 modification to Lisa Marie’s will that removed Priscilla as the estate trustee is disputed in the court case. The document’s signature was strange, and her mother’s name was misspelled, according to Ms. Presley’s attorneys.
Lawyers for the 77-year-old said in a document submitted to the Los Angeles Superior Court that she was only made aware of the “purported 2016 change” following Lisa Marie’s passing. The change in question substitutes her children, Riley, 33, and Benjamin Keough, for her mother and her former business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-trustees.
In 2020, Benjamin Keough passed away at the age of 27. The Devil All the Time, a movie coming out in 2020, and The Terminal List, an Amazon series, are two of Riley Keough’s acting accomplishments. In her legal challenge, Ms. Presley claims that the modification was never sent to her while her daughter was still alive, as was expressly called for by the will.
