Jahmyr Gibbs had an interesting college experience. He began his career at Georgia Tech, where he missed the first game but had a successful debut the following week by returning a kickoff 75 yards. He scored at least one touchdown in each of his first three college games, for a total of five. He finished the season with 460 rushing yards, and 303 receiving yards, and was named honorable mention All-ACC return specialist.

Jahmyr Gibbs Injury

In 2022, he transferred to the University of Alabama. There, he had some standout performances, including 206 rushing yards and two touchdowns against Arkansas, 154 rushing yards against Texas A&M, and three rushing touchdowns versus Tennessee. He finished the 2022 season with 926 yards rushing and seven touchdowns, as well as 444 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

His total college stats were 383 carries for 2,132 yards and 15 touchdowns, 103 receptions for 1,212 yards and eight touchdowns, and 44 returns for 1,052 yards and one touchdown. Following his college career, he entered the NFL Draft, where he was selected as the 12th overall pick in the first round by the Detroit Lions.
