There is a wide range of house sizes and styles available. It has numerous localised settings. The sun will occasionally go down in the middle of a park. Marion County Parks and Recreation Director Jim Couillard hopes so, at least. Couillard pledged, “We will dedicate an area of the park,” Couillard said, “We’ll give them a yard and a place to park.”

Couillard pledged, “We will dedicate an area of the park,” Couillard said, “We’ll give them a yard and a place to park.” A single contribution has made all of this possible. The Friends of Marion County Parks and Recreation Foundation Inc. were the recipients of a donated mobile home from an unknown source. After that, they donated the house to the county for use by the police.

“Across our Park system we have what we call on site law enforcement presence,” Couillard added.

Those working for government organisations like the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are eligible to live in the park thanks to this programme. “Having that law enforcement presence at a park is a great way to deter crime,” Couillard said.

Six on-site housing schemes in Marion County parks are currently in the works. From Orange Lake in the north to Belleview in the south, it stretches a long way. Sara Lambert, who is in charge of community engagement for the Parks and Recreation Department, expressed surprise at the gift.

“So donations like this are fantastic,” she said, “They allow the community to become more aware of the impact this organization is providing.” To volunteer and raise money for parks and recreation initiatives, the local nonprofit is crucial, she added. Over $147,000 has been raised for Parks and Rec thanks to the efforts of the group.

An assessment of the most recent contribution put its value at $52,500. The county is evaluating the cost of relocating the house. You can expect the house to arrive in Belleview by the end of the month.
