Malcolm Stewart Injury Update

Malcolm Stewart, a professional Supercross rider for the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team, will be out for the majority of the Monster Energy Supercross season due to a knee injury. The accident occurred as a result of a fall, and it has been established that surgery is required for his rehabilitation. Stewart informed his supporters of the news via Instagram, expressing his disappointment but accepting the circumstances.

Stewart’s season began with great expectations, but mishaps in the first two rounds of competition resulted in a 15th-place finish in the rankings. However, he ended the previous year on a high note, finishing third in the Supercross standings, a career-high. Due to another knee injury, he had already missed the start of the Pro Motocross season.

Despite the successive mishaps, Stewart’s 2023 season appeared to be promising at first. At both the Anaheim 1 and San Diego races, he showed excellent potential for podium finishes, even winning his heat in San Diego. Stewart and his colleagues were certainly distressed by the news of the knee surgery.

Nathan Ramsey, the Husqvarna team’s Team Manager, expressed his disappointment in Stewart’s need for surgery. Ramsey saw Stewart’s tremendous effort in training for the season and believed he was ready to fight for race victories. The team promised Stewart their entire support during his recovery and eagerly awaited his return to racing.

Christian Craig, Stewart’s colleague in the 450 class, has now taken over as the team’s primary emphasis. Craig is presently ranked 12th in the rankings, with three top-15 finishes in the first three rounds. The team has not yet announced a substitute rider for Stewart’s vacated seat. Craig is currently the focus of attention as he continues to ride for the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna squad in the ongoing Supercross season.

Unfortunately for Stewart and his fans, he will be absent for an extended length of time due to knee surgery. The crew, on the other hand, is optimistic about his rehabilitation and eagerly awaits his return to the track to resume his Supercross career.
