Reinstated Mulberry Police Officer in Viral Video of Violent Arrest

THE LITTLE ROCK CHANNEL (KATV) – According to reports 40/29 News, the Mulberry police officer suspended while being investigated for a violent arrest has been restored and is back on duty.

Mulberry Police Chief Shannon Gregory stated that the department was informed by “state prosecutors” that Officer Thell Riddle would not be facing any charges. According to the commander, Riddle returned to work after being reinstated on Friday, February 17.

After being involved in a violent arrest in front of a gas station in Mulberry in August 2022, Riddle was placed on paid administrative leave. Randal Worcester’s arrest outside the Kountry Xpress petrol station was caught on surveillance and witnessed in a Facebook video.

Video shows Riddle holding Worcester down while two Crawford County cops repeatedly punch and knee him in the head and body. When the Arkansas State Police looked into the use of force, all three officers were placed on paid administrative leave. In August, both deputies were let go.
