When Did Pat Warren Die?
Pat Warren, a nearly 30-year colleague, passed away this past weekend on November 27, 2023, and WJZ is in sorrow. Warren was a reporter and anchor at WJZ; she covered the legislature and Annapolis most of the time. Governor Larry Hogan tweeted following his passing, saying:
“It is with deep sorrow that we learn of the passing of Pat Warren, a revered journalist and a familiar face to all who followed Maryland politics. Pat’s tenure at WJZ, especially her coverage of Annapolis and the legislature, reflected the epitome of journalistic excellence.”

How Did Pat Warren’s Loved Ones Pay Tribute to Her?
Pat Warren was a reporter and anchor for WJZ, primarily covering Annapolis and the legislature. Pat moved to Canton, Ohio, from Texas in 1992 and joined WJZ. Pat was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. She brought with her professionalism, a strong work ethic, and reporting ability.
Pat was always precise and eloquent, regardless of the subject. She spoke with Bob Ehrlich, the previous governor, on multiple occasions. There will surely be a stir over Pat’s demise in our workplace and at the Capitol.
